Lawngtlai dated 16th January 2024: Training for 44 Disaster Response Force was organised at 3rd Bn IR Headquarters, Thingkah of Lawngtlai district by Disaster Management & Rehabilitation Department, which will last for 3 weeks. Mr. Benjamin Lalzama, Director, DM&R inaugurated the training, which was chaired by Mr. PC Lalchunglura, Joint Director, DM&R.

In his inaugural speech, Mr. Benjamin Lalzama, Director,  highlighted the vitality of having the technical knowledge and hands-on experience of operating search and rescue equipment as well as the importance of time management. He urged the trainees to make the most out the 3-week long training so that they will be an important asset for Siaha and Lawngtlai district in times of calamity.
