A three-day long training of trainers on "Sujal and Swachh Gaon" to be implemented under Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Public Health Engineering Department for Lawngtlai and Bungtlang 'S' blocks was held today at Central YLA Hall, Lawngtlai.

Two members each from every village WATSAN committee were appointed as village level trainers in Lawngtlai block and Bungtlang 'S' block. This trainers' training was attended by 40 trainers from Lawngtlai block and 51 trainers from Bungtlang 'S' block.

WSSO System Analyst Er Helen Saibuangi and two consultants came from Aizawl to impart the training. Training will also be imparted by Executive Engineer Er Netralal Jaisi and other resource persons from PHED Lawngtlai WATSAN Division. The training will cover the importance and feasibility of clean and sufficient water supply and sanitation in every village. Field visit was also scheduled.
