Lawngtlai, 17th November 2025: In connection with the upcoming 12th General Election to the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC), two individuals who had filed their nomination papers withdrew their candidatures today.

A total of 82 nomination papers were received for the LADC General Election 2025. Withdrawal of candidatures was permitted until 12:00 PM today. Following this process, Shri C. Lallungmuana (IND) from 3 – Sangau West and Shri J. Thangkhuma (IND) from 17 – Paithar withdrew their nominations.

With their withdrawal, the total number of validly nominated candidates now stands at 80.
