Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Shri Radha Mohan Singh, yesterday evening called on Chief Minister Pu Lal Thanhawla at his official residence ‘Chief Minister’s Bangla’ where they discussed issues pertaining to agriculture, farmers welfare and technology inputs to agriculture and allied sectors. Later in the evening, Chief Minister hosted a dinner for the visiting Union Minister at his residence.

Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shri Radha Mohan Singh thanked Chief Minister Shri Lal Thanhawla for the warm and hospitable reception accorded to him by the state government despite the short notice of his official visit which was finalized late Friday afternoon. The Union Minister expressed hope that the Horticulture College, to be established at Thenzawl, whose foundation stone he had laid earlier in the day within the precincts of the College of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Sciences, Selesih, Central Agricultural College would be a boon for the farmers of Mizoram and the Northeast. Shri Radha Mohan Singh apprised the Chief Minister that a Vocational Training Institute and a Multi Technology Testing Centre would be established in collaboration with his Ministry within three months.
