Lunglei, 2 October 2025: As part of the "Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan", Special Gram Sabhas were held today at Lungsen-I Pilot Village and in several other villages across Lunglei District, during which "Village Action Plans" were prepared and adopted.

Under the Abhiyan, 48 villages across Lunglei District have been selected, with Lungsen-I Village Council of Lungsen Aspirational Block designated as the Pilot Village. Alongside Lungsen-I, 14 villages—Lungrang South, Lungrang South-I, Rotlang West, Phairuangkai, Khawmawi, Mualthuam North, Zotuitlang, Vanhne, Ṭhualṭhu, Thingfal, Ṭawipui North-I, Ṭawipui North-II, Ramlaitui and Ṭawipui South—have finalised their respective "Village Action Plans" through the Special Gram Sabhas.

To ensure effective planning and implementation under the Abhiyan, 17 Block Master Trainers (BMTs) have been appointed and trained at the District Process Lab. With their guidance, each village will formulate its own "Village Action Plan", providing a roadmap for developmental activities to be carried out under various government schemes in line with local needs and priorities.
