Dated Serchhip, the 5th August, 2020: First training session for the coming Village Council Election, 2020 for the appointed Returning Officers & Asst. Returning Officers in Serchhip District is held at DC Conference Hall Today.

This first training for the coming VC Election, 2020 is attended by the Deputy Commissioner of Serchhip Mr. Kumar Abhishek, IAS who is also a District Election Officer. He inaugurated the session with his opening remark saying that the returning officers' play the crucial role for the attainment of successful free and fair VC election. In order to have such a success level proper training and preparedness is necessary first, the District Election Officer and all the staff are always ready to help all ROs for the same.

Three Master Trainers; Mrs. Dorothy Muansangi, MCS, SDO, N. Vanlaiphai, Mrs. Lalnisai, MCS, SDC Serchhip and Mr. Vanlalhmachhuana, EO imparted various matters relating to ’The Mizoram Village Council Rules 2014’ and their responsibilities.

There are 54 Village Councils within Serchhip District and 55 Returning Officers and 5 Asst. Returning Officers were appointed so far. All these Returning Officers attend the training.
