A two day training programme on Impact of forest fire on faunal resources of north eastern states is being organised by Zoological Survey of India, Kolkata in association with National Mission on Himalayan Studies(NMHS) and Mizoram forest Department at I&PR Conference Hall Mamit.

The training programme is attended by various dignitaries of the District including journalist who could carry the message of the training in a broader prospective. Honorary wildlife warden Pu K. Lalmuankima graced the programme as the Chief Guest and also Pi Gracy L.Bawitlung, CJM Mamit and Pu Shashank Jaiswal, IPS, SP Mamit were present in the training inaugural function as the guest of honour. DFO Mamit and Khawrthah forest division are among the officials who enlightened the august gathering of the programme. The training is conducted by scientist and professionals from zoological survey of India, Kolkata.
