The 33rd Mizoram State Day was celebrated today at Parish Hall, Kolasib which was attended by Government officials from different departments of the district and leaders of various NGOs.
On this ocassion Sangchhin Chinzah, Deputy Commissioner highlighted the important chronology of several events, adding up the Memorandum of Settlement on 30th June 1986 and ultimately becoming a State on 20th February 1987. Sangchhin Chinzah speaks on the many development occuring since becoming a state, and urged the gathering to strived forward further in making Mizoram an economically viable and self-sustained state.
The programme was chaired by Vanlalchhuanawma Chawngthu, SDO (Sardar) with short speech from C Liankunga, Chairman, NGO Coordination Committee, Kolasib district.
