‘Colors of Mizoram 2020 Art Exhibition’, a six day painting exhibition being organised by  Information& Public Relations Department to promote Mizo artists outside the state was inaugurated this evening at New South Gallery, Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata by  Chairman, Asiatic Society Prof. Isha Mahammad who is also the former Principal of  Government College of Art & Craft Kolkata. The inaugural programme was also attended by Pi Lallianpuii, Director, I ≺ Pi K. Vanlalsangi, Deputy Director, Prof. Chatrapati Dutta, Principal Government College of Art & Craft Kolkata and art lovers of Kolkata.


The Exhibition which will be on till the 26th February features 56 works of art by 24 Mizo artists which includes  4 pencil sketches, 24 water color paintings 24 and  28 acrylic paintings. The Department has in the past organised two such exhibitions in Delhi in 2018 and 2019. The works of art by Mizo artists had been very well received in Delhi and this is a major step in the promotion of Mizo artists and exposing their works to a larger audience across the country.
