11th March, 2024: In continuation of Civic Action Programme 2023-2024, 38 Bn BSF organized a Free Medical Camp under the Civic Action Programme at Border Out Post Silsuri in the border area of Mamit district on 11th March 2024.

The Medical Camp was organized and conducted under the supervision of Shri Rakesh Panwar, Commandant 38 Βn BSF in the presence of Dr Kunwar Vikrant, AC Medical Officer along with Medical team of Unit. Over 255 villagers, VCPs of Silsuri East and West, Coy Commander Border Out Post Silsuri were present during the conduct of Medical Camp. During the free Medical Camp, Medical Officer along with team examined the patients and carried out free health check-up and distributed medicines.

The Border Security Force has been organizing a series of events including sports, awareness programme and free Medical Camps at the villages on the Indo-Bangladesh Border area. These Civic Action Programmes aim to foster good rapport of Border Security Force with the people on the border and further helps in cementing the existing bond of mutual co-existence, coordination and cooperation, which can help to prevent trans-border crime as well as overall upliftment of border community.
