Aizawl, the 11th March 2024: I&PR Minister Dr Vanlalthlana today morning flagged off the 15 journalists and two officials who will leave for the 3-day-long Press Tour of Tripura organized by the Information & Public Relations Department.

A short briefing was held at the I&PR Director Room. In this session, I&PR Minister Dr Vanlalthlana interacts with the tour party members. He shared his expectations from this trip and added about how the Press Tour can be a useful tool for the media community of a state to learn what best practices in other states are worth implementing in their states, etc. He also acknowledged that this kind of Press Tour across the neighboring state would create better relations and coordination between the two states.

Pu Malsawmsanga, Deputy Director, I&PR is the Tour Leader of the Press Tour of Tripura while Pu Lalrinmawia Sailo, GS, MJA is the assistant leader. The 15 MJA members from various districts were selected for the press tour.

Pu C.Lalnunkima, Director, I&PR conducted the short briefing held in his office. In this session, he briefly explained the objectives of the tour, including do's and don'ts. He also thanked his counterpart, Director, Information & Cultural Affairs(ICA), Tripura and his officers for having promptly accepted the request and also for having arranged the schedules in a well-planned manner. Pu C. Lalrambuatsaiha, President, Mizoram Journalists' Association(MJA) was another speaker at the program.

Pi K.Vanlalsangi, Joint Director, I&PR, and the officials of  MJA General Hq s  were present at the program.
