Aizawl, the 28th May, 2021: 46 Assam Rifles had received Unit Citation from Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pillai - for their commendable all round performance during its employment across Saitual Mamit, Kolasib, Champhai and Aizawl districts of Mizoram from 17 April 2017 to 28 May 2021. The battalion will be leaving the state shortly and they will be relieved by another battalion from Assam Rifles who are currently employed outside the state.

The contents of the Unit Citation from Governor Pillai is repoduced below: 

46 Assam Rifles (JAANBAAZ CHHIALIS) during its employment across Saitual Mamit, Kolasib, Champhai and Aizawl districts of Mizoram from 17 April 2017 to 28 May 2021 has performed
commendably.

The Battalion has exhibited excellent professionalism, dedication and compassion in guarding the Indo-Myanmar Border and has also
performed exceedingly well in assisting the local populace and has served
the people of Mizoram through focused activities under Civic Action,
Student Outreach and Health Campaigns especialy during challenging
times of COVID-19 pandemic.
I congratulate ACC RANKS of the Battalion for their selfless devotion to duty and commendable all round performance.
