Champhai District along with the rest of the country, celebrated the 58th Teachers’ Day across the district with zeal and zest at different Schools today. District Level Teachers’ Day Celebration Committee members attended the celebration at various Schools. Mr Alexander V.Chongrthu Addl DC Champhai graced the Programme as Chief Guest at PES Champhai Vengthlang and was accompanied by Dr Lallawmkima, DIPRO Champhai.
Speaking at the Celebration programme organised by Students Council at School Courtyard, Mr Aleaxander V.Chongthu wished a good luck to all the Teachers of the District for their well being and future endeovours. He expressed his gratitude to the District Level Teachers’ Day Celebration Committee for introducing new programme by which all the members were detailed and get chance to mingle with selected Schools to celebrate the auspicious day. While mentioning his delightfulness to be with PES Champhai Vengthlang’s family, the Addl DC encouraged and urged upon the Students to abides by Teacher’s words and teachings, and also to listen to them sincerely. He also appealed to the Students to repay and honour the sincere dedications the teachers offered to them by coming out with flying colours. He wish all the gatherings to have a pleasant day and also he prayed for the welfare of the School.
Mrs Zairemtluangi Khiangte, Principal lauded the entire staff for their exemplary contribution, selfless service, commitment and sincerest efforts of the teachers in playing a catalytic role in the holistic development of every Student. She also spoke at length about how much they cared for each student and revealed that the School authority traces the student’s performance even after their departure from the institution for higher Studies, she added that the teachers used to get immense pleasure whenever their students came out with flying colours.
The programme witnessed Students performed a scintillating cultural show to denote their love, respect, acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put in by the teachers towards their development. The cultural show incorporated recitation, songs, dance, Skit and talent show. Lalmawizuali, Class VII read out the message from School Education Minister Shri Lalchhandama Ralte Ralte and Vanlalmalsawmi of Class VIII highlighted the brief life history of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. After the programme ended, the Teachers donated blood at District Hospital, Champhai.
