ICSSR-Sponsored National Seminar On ‘Resurgence Of Nationalism : Citizenship, Identity And Belonging’ jointly organised by Mizoram Political Science Association (MIPSA) and Department of Political Science, Government Aizawl College was inaugurated on 17th October by Mr C Lalramzauva, Adviser to Chief Minister at Conference Hall, Govt. Aizawl College.

The Chief Guest Mr C Lalramzauva highlighted on the importance of Nationalism as the fundamental tool in shaping a nation mentioning the evolution of nationalism in the heart of the youth of Mizo during the Mautam famine of 1960s leading to the formation of Mizo National Famine Front. Mr C Lalramzauva also urged the gathering academician to formulate and come up with political philosophies based on the region which will be more purposeful and efficient rather than relying on philosophies of other regions.

Prof. R.K. Satapathy, Department of Political Science, NEHU & Honorary Director ICSSR – NERC delivers an opening speech stating the significance of abolishing the imaginary man-made limits and boundaries and to think broader as a race of human to progress.

The National seminar comprises of four technical session with participants from various colleges of Mizoram and outside of the state including  Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Guwahati, Aizawl Theological College (ATC), Mizoram University and Academy of Integrated Christian Studies (AICS).
