Dr K Beichhua, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry & Veterinary department inaugurates the initiatives taken up by AH & Vety department, ‘Poultry Value Chain Development In Mizoram’ which aims at making the state more self sufficient in poultry meat and egg production. The Minister, on the inaugural programme, flagged off vehicles carrying one-day old chicks which will be transported to the Mother/Brooding Unit at various district veterinary offices.

Minister Dr K Beichhua expressed his delight on the initiatives taken by AH & Veterinary department mentioning that innovative ideas are needed to make changes in a progressive manner. The minister also adviced the officers and employees of the department to strive further and go extra mile if need be, in order to make the state self sufficient in hygienic meat and egg to meet the market demand.

The inaugural function was organised at INDBRO Poultry Hatchery Farm, Ramrikawn, Tanhril, Aizawl which was chaired by Dr Hmarkunga, Director, AH & Vety and a powerpoint presentation on ‘Poultry Value Chain Development In Mizoram’ was presented by Dr Lalhmingthanga, Dy. Director (F & FD). The minister was accompanied by Mr H Biakzauva, MLA and Mr Zothantluanga, Aizawl West-I MLA.
