Aizawl the 25th September, 2024 : On Dt. 23.09.2024 @ 11:30 Am, Dr. Laldinliana Sailo, Zemabawk North, approached Bawngkawn PS to register FIR stating that between 11:00 PM of 21.09.2024 and 12:00 AM of 22.09.2024, while he and his two brothers, Dr. Rinngheta Renthlei s/o Dr. R.L. Sanghluna of Durtlang, Aizawl and Lalthlamuana s/o P.L. Ropara of Durtlang Mel-5, Aizawl were sitting inside their Breeza car at Durtlang Leitan, Aizawl, they were unexpectedly attacked by unknown individuals. The assailants forcefully dragged them out of the vehicle, leaving them with injuries to their heads and faces. Also, Dr. Rinngheta was thrown to the ground with one person on top of him while another kicked him in the head and his shirt was torn apart by the attackers. 

ACTION TAKEN: The following steps has been taken till date :-

  1. The place of occurrence at Durtlang Leitan, Aizawl was immediately visited and carefully examined. A torn grey t-shirt, worn by Dr. Rinngheta during the incident was seized from the possession of Lalthlamuana in the presence of reliable witnesses.
  2. The complainant Dr. Laldinliana Sailo, Zemabawk North, Aizawl was carefully examined and his statement was recorded. Also the other two victims viz., Dr. Rinngheta Renthlei and Lalthlamuana were carefully examined and their statements recorded.
  3. The said victims were immediately taken to Synod Hospital, Aizawl for taking treatment. Medical requisition was sent to Synod Hospital where the victims were taking treatment. The medical examination reports revealed that Lalthlamuana s/o P.L. Ropara of Durtlang Mel-5, Aizawl sustained simple injury, Dr. Laldinliana Sailo, Zemabawk North. Aizawl sustained grievous injury and Dr. Rinngheta Renthlei s/o Dr. R.L. Sanghluna of Durtlang, Aizawl sustained grievous injury.
  4. On 23rd September, 2024, due to quick action of the case I/O, six (6) accused were arrested: Lalmalsawma Zote (25) s/o Vanlalruata Zote of Ramhlun North, Aizawl, Mark Zairemmawia (24) s/o Lalsiamkunga of Ramhlun North, Aizawl, Lalvenpuia (22) s/o Rinchungnunga of Ramhlun North, Sailianpuia Sailo (28) s/o Lalremruata Sailo (L) of Venghlui, Vanlalpekhlua (23) s/o H. Thangzela (L) of Ramhlun North, Aizawl and K.Vanlaltharzela (23) s/o K. Ramengmawia of Ramhlun North, Aizawl. However, they were all released on bail because the offence is bailable.
  5. On 24th September, 2024, since one of the accused named C/266 Sailianpuia Sailo (28) s/o Lalremruata Sailo (L) of Venghlui was identified as a Police personnel recently posted at Sairang Police Station. An arrest notice for him was sent to the Superintendent of Police. Aizawl District. On the same day, the Superintendent of Police, Aizawl District, issued a suspension order for him Vide order No. E/RO/PF/C-266/2024/917 dated 24th September, 2024.
  6. In the best interest of the complainant and to ensure fair investigation, the case is being transferred to CID Crime.
