Dated Aizawl the 2nd May 2023 : The Assam Rifles,  successfully conducted a Media Conclave today in Assam Rifles Headquarter office, Khatla, Aizawl. The event  brought together officers from the Assam Rifles and media personnels to discuss various important topics and key regional issues.

During the gathering, the achievements of the Assam Rifles for the financial years 2021-22 and 2022-23 were highlighted. The Assam Rifles completed 24 projects in diverse areas such as national integration tours, sports meets, career guidance counseling, free medical camps, women empowerment initiatives, infrastructure development, provision of essential items, and vocational training in various part of Mizoram.

Looking ahead to the next financial year, the Assam Rifles outlined the focus areas for upcoming projects. These include provisions for youth, women and children empowerment through various channels , and platforms for social influencers through conclaves, National Integration Tours (NIT), and other initiatives.

The conclave also served as a platform for discussing critical issues, such as the role of media in highlighting drug abuse, sensitizing locals of such cases, issues related to illegal immigration, promoting the right approach to factual reporting, and the shifing of Assam Rifles to Zokhawsang.
