In continuance of Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme, Serchhip Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of 23 Sector Assam Rifles/ IGAR(E) organised a ‘Medical Camp at Thingsai village, today. Regimental Medical Officer of Serchhip Battalion along with medical staff provided medical treatment to 357 villagers (147 males, 143 females and 67 children) of Thingsai and neighbouring villages. Apart from providing necessary medical assistance, basic knowledge on health education, hygiene and sanitation were also imparted. An interaction session was also organised where the villagers were acquainted with the common outbreak of disease during the change of season.

The medical camp received overwhelming response from local populace and gave opportunity for building confidence amongst the people. The village chairman and authority members along with the locals extended their heartfelt gratitude towards the Assam Rifles for organising such an event and expressed their eagerness to work together with the security forces for betterment and development of the area.
