Aizawl Battalion under the aegis of HQ 23 Sector Assam Rifles and HQ Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), assisted youth of Mizoram in going one step ahead with their dream of becoming  Uniformed Soldier in Indian Armed Forces.

Transportation assistance with an aim of helping and motivating youth of Mizoram in fulfilling their dream of becoming a Uniformed Soldier in Armed Forces was provided by 46 Assam Rifles at Bn HQ.  Reacting promptly to a request by Zila Sainik Welfare and Resettlement Office, Lunglei, 46 Assam Rifles arranged transportation facility for the Mizoram Boys who made it through the trials for Assam Regimental Centre and were to reach Shillong for their medicals and subsequent documentation. These boys were facing difficulty in arranging a suitable transportation facility till Silchar amidst the ongoing lockdown and border dispute in the State. Total of Six boys from Aizawl & Champhai district and one from Kolasib district benefitted from the said assistance . Officers of the Battalion guided and motivated the boys for their bright future in the Forces and shared their valuable experience as well. The proud parents of these boys were full of praises and gratitude towards the Assam  Rifles. They applauded the efforts of 46 Assam Rifles in ensuring bright future of their children.
