Serchhip District Task Force Committee on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao sit today at Deputy Commissioner’s Meeting Hall under the chairmanship of their chairman Pi Sangchhin Chinzah, deputy commissioner to discuss and detail its implementation in the current year.

Meeting arrange and detail various activities and action plans to be implemented within this financial year by different line departments. The activities includes training of all frontline workers of health such as Health workers, ASHA, Anganwadi Workers, Nurses in Rural Health Centres, Sensitization of Police, Judiciary, NGOs, Church leaders, Mass media campaigns through various mode, training of Adolescent Girls, and many other activities from different line departments.

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao is a government of India flagship programme on safety and education of baby girls in the country. It is implemented in some selected district across the country and Serchhip district is one among them from Mizoram state.
