An orientation training on Beat System is organised today for the beat officers and other police personnel at Superintendent of Police Conference Hall Serchhip by Police Department, Serchhip.

The programme is chaired by Mr. PC Laltanpuia, Addl SP, who is also a Resource Person and Mr. R. Sathyasundaram, SP, Serchhip graced the function as chief guest. In his inaugural speech to the trainee, the chief guest expressed his willingness to achieve a better enforcement of law and orders, increase in the prevalence of peace and tranquility in the district by adopting a beat system. He also encouraged them to make use of the training for better service to the people and to the country.

In this Beat System Training, Resource Person Mr. PC Laltanpuia, MPS, Addl. SP Serchhip give a presentation on the Beat System, duties and role of the beat officers. He also mentioned various responsibilities of the beat officers on their respective area. Mr. PC Laltanpuia said that, Serchhip district is divided into 14 beats and two beat officers are already appointed to operate every beat office, and after finishing their (today) training, they shall visit their area without fails for further practical training.
