Border Security Force on 22nd August, 2012 carried out a green drive in areas of Mizoram where BSF is located by planting trees at its BN Hqrs. and BOPs. The efforts directed at environment preservation is part of ‘My Earth My Duty’ campaign of BSF. The campaign in Mizoram was kickstarted by Shri. M.L. Batham, Inspector General, Mizoram and Cachar Ftr. by planting a sapling at Sector Hqrs. BSF Durtlang. BSF targets to plant 3000 saplings at its Hqrs. and at bordering areas. Shri.M.L. Batham who is on a two day tour of state to oversee border issues and BSF functioning in Mizoram claimed ‘My Earth My Duty’ a successful campaign as it is being carried out throughout India by BSF, even at rid area of Rajasthan, at very remote areas of N.E. and in ecologically fragile area of Sunderbans.
