A meeting was held this afternoon in the office chamber of Shri SB Shashank, IAS, Chief Electoral Officer on matters relating to the visit of the Election Commission of India (ECI) to Mizoram this month. The meeting was attended by officials from the State Election, Protocol and Information & Public Relations Department of the State Government.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) officials are expected to arrive on 16^th October 2018 and depart the next day 17^th October 2018. The ECI officials will hold meetings with Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police from all eight districts of Mizoram, as well as representatives of Political parties and the local media.
