Chief Minister Shri Zoramthanga met with Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Harsh Vardhan yesterday at his office where they had a lengthy discussion on various issues pertaining to health development in Mizoram.

Shri Zoramthanga apprised the Union Minister of the present condition of health care facilities and provisions in Mizoram, and among other things, requested of him to facilitate establishment of district hospitals at the three newly formed districts of Hnahthial, Saitual and Khawzawl, increasing the capacity of Mamit district hospital which is designated an aspirational district, as well as strengthening of various hospitals, community health centres and primary health centres across the state.

The Chief Minister had also previously met with Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Shri Ashwini Kumar Choubey.
