Aizawl, August 24, 2026: The Association of Voluntary Blood Donors (AVBD), Mizoram, had approached the Chief Minister with a request for a good inverter to ensure the continuous preservation of stored blood during frequent and unreliable power supply.

Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma today handed over a 10 KVA Solar Inverter for use at the Model Blood Bank, Civil Hospital, Aizawl, at his office.

The inverter was received by Pu C. Lalnunnema, President, AVBD General Headquarters; Pu Lalrinkima, General Secretary, AVBD General Headquarters; and Dr. K. Rothangpuia, Medical Superintendent, Civil Hospital.

The recipients expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for providing the much-needed equipment, which will help in ensuring uninterrupted operation of the blood storage facility.
