Dated Aizawl, the 26th October, 2024: On his return from a week-long visit to New Delhi, Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma held a press conference today in the Chief Minister’s Conference Hall to brief the media on his engagements with top central leaders and officials.

During his visit, the Chief Minister held productive discussions in separate meetings with the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, and the Minister of Commerce & Industries Shri Piyush Goyal. He also participated in a review meeting on highways led by the Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari.

One key development highlighted by the Chief Minister was the recent signing of a Memorandum of Agreement to relocate the Assam Rifles Battalion from Aizawl City to Zokhawsang. This agreement was signed at Mizoram House, New Delhi, on October 23, 2024, by the Director General of Assam Rifles and the Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Mizoram, General Administration Department (GAD).

The Chief Minister also provided updates on several other meetings and programs he attended during his stay in the capital.
