Khawzawl, dated 28th October, 2024: A meeting was held today at 11:00 a.m at DC Meeting Hall with National Level Monitor on RD Schemes (NLM) and other offices, chaired by Khawzawl Deputy Commissioner, Mr. K. Vanlalthiana, to discuss the course for monitoring of schemes in different villages within Khawzawl District.

The NLM consisted of 2 Field Investigators, Mr. Anil Kumar Sharma and Mr. Shailesh Sharma. The meeting started with them introducing the aims and objectives of NLM and the duration of their visit. They told the meeting that the monitoring will include 11 schemes related to rural development and they will be spread across 10 villages within Khawzawl district. The team requested the cooperation of the various offices involved in terms of procurement of files, figures and data, and expressed their expectation of honest and transparent lines of communication. The meeting discussed the appropriate course the NLM would take to cover all 10 villages in a time bound manner. The DC thanked the NLM for their visit, and requested attendees of the meeting their cooperation in assisting the NLM.

The NLM will stay in Khawzawl from 28th October to 4th November. The NLM is an initiative of the Ministry of Rural Development to ensure proper implementation of schemes as well as assessing weaknesses and deficiencies in implementing them.
