Dated Aizawl, the 19th June, 2024: Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma launched Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP), MSME Facilitation Cell and MSME Portals Mizoram at Vanapa Hall today.

In his inaugural speech, Pu Lalduhoma outlined his government's plans for the development of MSME units in Mizoram. He emphasised that his administration's want to make industrial sector revival happened during their tenure. However, with the first year being designated as a period of consolidation, the focus will initially be on industries related to ginger, arecanut, and other agriculture-based products.

He challenged young Mizo entrepreneurs to venture into business, to start their start-ups and also urged existing units to enhance both their production levels and quality to meet market demand. He assured that those who put forth their utmost effort will not be left unsupported. The Mizoram government, he pledged, will stand by them every step of their way, even offering hundred percent subsidies on bank interest for those who demonstrate deserving efforts.

The meeting is chaired by Pi Florence Zotluangpuii, Director, Commerce & Industry. Pu F. Rodingliana, Minister, Commerce & Industry also delivered a speech at the function.
