Dated Serchhip the 1st October, 2024 : Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma today inaugurated a state-of-the-art 3D Dental Laboratory Serchhip College, funded by the PM DevINE scheme. This significant addition aims to enhance dental services in the region, particularly for patients requiring dentures. The inauguration ceremony took place at the Serchhip DC Conference Hall, chaired by the Additional DC Pu Lalrinzuala.

The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to all those involved in the initiative, highlighting the convenience the laboratory will bring to local residents. "This facility represents a leap forward in healthcare accessibility," said Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma. "The laboratory will not only serve Serchhip but is part of a broader initiative to install similar facilities across all northeastern states, interconnected through AMTRON from Guwahati. We are excited about the future of telemedicine and other health technologies using 5G connectivity for our state,” he added.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated a Mobile ECG Device and a Drip Monitoring System at the District Hospital, further enhancing patient care. He noted that the construction of the new hospital, funded with a total of Rs. 71 Crore—including Rs. 21 Crore from PGCIL—was progressing well.

The event also featured the presentation of certificates to 15 Serchhip youths who recently completed a 45-day hospitality sector training program at IHM Delhi under the NEC digital tourism project.

Technical insights into the potential of 3D and 5G technology were shared by Pu Ashish Anand, Adviser to AMTRON, while Dr. A.S. Lorho S Pfoze, former Vice Chairman of the NE MPs Forum, and Pi Sherry Lalthangzo, Economic Adviser to NEC, also addressed the gathering.

Pu Paul L.Khuma, Deputy Commissioner, Serchhip, introduced the program and underscored the importance of these advancements in promoting healthcare and education in the region.
