Aizawl the 10th October, 2020: Chief Minister Pu Zoramthanga inaugurated 9 intermediate storage godowns constructed at different locations across Mizoram at a function held at the Assembly House Annexe Conference Hall in Aizawl yesterday.

The function began with the gathering taking a moment to mourn the loss of Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan.

The godowns thus inaugurated were constructed by the state's Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department using a Rs. 19.22 crores funding from the central government sanction in the form of grant-in-aid. This was sanctioned on February 2019 for 10 godowns out of which 9 were completed, while the last godown is yet to be completed.

FCS&CA Minister Pu K. Lalrinliana was also present in the function today which was organized following social distance protocols. An awareness programme on Targeted Public Distribution System was also included.
