Aizawl the 26th November, 2021: Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga and his counterpart from Assam Himanta Biswa Sharma had a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah this evening.

Amongst many other things discussed, on the issue of Assam-Mizoram border, it was agreed that the situation should be resolved amicable without conflict. Dialogues could be held, either at the Chief Minister level or between delegates from both states to ensure harmony between the two sister states.

Chief Minister Zoramthanga also brought up the issue of having separate All India Service Cadre for Mizoram, which is long overdue and imperative to improve administration.
