The Chief Secretary Pu Lalnunmawia Chuaungo, who is also the Chief Vigilance Officer today inaugurated a one week Refresher Course for Investigating Officers of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) at the ACB Office.

Pu Lalnunmawia Chuaungo remarked that the ACB plays an important role, whose work and activities are for public interest and for public welfare. Commenting that corruption is age old and the degree of corruption is varied, he said we cannot stand as mute spectators but we must take steps to ensure that the malaise of corruption does not spread and must be checked. He further commented that since the establishment of Lok Ayukta, the ACB has worked in close coordination with it and a number of cases have been transferred to the Lok Ayukta.

The week long Refresher Course will be taken by 11 faculty members drawn from the Police and other Departments and a module by Dr. Vanlalthlana, MLA is also a part of the Course.
