The Chief Secretary of Mizoram Mr. Arvind Ray inaugurated EVM and VVPAT Awareness Event held at New Secretariat Building, Aizawl on the 3^rd September, 2018 for the coming Mizoram Legislative Assembly General Election.  The Chief Secretary have made a mention on the importance of casting vote and requested all the citizens to be a part of the formation of new government in Mizoram by exercising their rights to vote. The Deputy Commissioner of Aizawl District Mrs. Dr. A.Muthamma also requested the Mizos to cast their votes by using EVM and VVAT with confidence as they are under high security measures.

The Event brought all the Secretaries and Staff to participate in open demonstration of EVM and VVPAT.  The objective of the event was to usher the theme of ‘Familiarity Breeds Confidence.’
