A one day Children Carnival for the conclusion of the Children Week, 2019 is jointly organized by Serchhip District Legal Service Authority and District Child Protection Unit at Serchhip Sport Complex today. And Mr. Lalduhoma, Serchhip MLA graced the opening function as chief guest and inaugurated.

The Opening Ceremony is presided over by Mrs. Lalsiampuii Tochhawng, DCPO and Mr. Laldinpuia, Member, Adalat delivered welcome speech. Mr. Lalduhoma, in his opening speech said that, children are the bud of life and it is the responsibilities of all adults to help them blossom in their respective talent. We should not let them flower in red if they bear the white bud and vice versa, parents shall not predetermined them in their aim in life but reveal what their ability first and then follow that colour. He also mentioned that, safety and security of deprived children in our society must be maintained continually and they are the responsibility of government, churches and NGOs in their administrative circle. After his inaugural speech, he give away awards to the winners and participants of Children Week, 2019 related competition organized among students and photographers.

After the opening function over, hundreds of children gathered enjoy various items of Carnival instruments temporarily installed at the complex for the whole day.
