Aizawl, the 1st October, 2024: Central Integrated Pest Management Centre (CIPMC), Aizawl under Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare has successfully conducted the 2 days HRD programme on IPM for Kharif 2024-25 from 30.09.2024 to 01.10.2024 at Dampui Village, Zualnuam block, Mamit district.

During the first day of the inaugural programme officer in-charge & Technical staff of CIPMC Aizawl delivered the lectures on components of IPM, identification of pest, diseases and beneficial insects, safe and judicious use of pesticides, hazardous effects of chemical pesticides, AESA besides group dynamics.

The second day of HRD programme included seed treatment campaign, importance of biopesticides and botanicals, rodent management, training and downloading the   NPSS to the farmers for qualitative surveillance. Demonstration of pest identification option in the apps, farmers actively participated and benefited from the programme.
