Aizawl, the 8th April 2021: Under the chairmanship of Shri Jitendra Singh, DoNER Minister the DoNER Consultative Committee was held via video conferencing, today. In this meeting, Shri C. Lalrosanga, MP, Lok Sabha had strongly advocated the need for awarding ‘Special package’ to a state like Mizoram for developmental works within the backward areas in the state.

While elaborating the viability for construction of more airport in the state, more flight services at the existing airport he was also highlighting the need for improvement of postal services, which is far from sufficient in the current state. The lone MP from Mizoram was also leading the demand for strengthening of the NEC and better utilisation of the 10% Gross Budgetary Support guaranteed to all the NE states.
