Smt.B.Malsawmtluangi, SDO(S) presided over this opening function and Shri.K. Vanlalthiana, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Siaha graced the function as Chief Guest. In inaugural speech, chief guest reiterated that the
responsibility of keeping Siaha District clean lie solely with the citizens of Siaha District.He also urged general public not confine their cleanliness drives to a week long affairs, nor to outside looks and surroundings a lone, rather "one must have Cleanliness as a live-long habit, and the drive of it, must come from the heart" he added.
As a part of Cleanliness week observance, 1st to 3rd cleanliest will be chosen from various categories. Such as: Schools, offices,Locilities Restaurants and Hotels.
Essay writing competition will also be held amongst school students. Best Editors will also be awarded.
