Dated Aizawl, the 16th March 2021: Commerce & Industries Minister Dr. R.Lalthangliana graced the  MSME Town Hall Meeting at Dawrpui Multipurpose Hall as a chief guest today.

On the occasion, the minister said MSME Town Hall meeting is a broad platform where entrepreneurs/MSMEs can come together with bankers and officials from Government. He encouraged all the participants to take the full advantage of the Town Hall meeting today; he also stated that bankers can make a real difference in Mizoram through their adequate and timely support of the entrepreneurs in their financing needs while some banks are leading the way and deserve to be commended for their good performances, a few private banks have been lagging in this aspect and needs to improve their performance, he said. The minister also highlighted the objectives behind conducting MSME Town Hall meetings such as to create awareness of banking facilities amongst the entrepreneurs, to link the unbanked entrepreneurs to the formal banking system and to create a platform for a two way communication  amongst the stakeholders.
