Vaccination drives of Covid-19 vaccine(Covishield) kick started for Siaha district at District Medical Superintendent Office, here in Siaha, at 11:0Oam, today.

A brief function to kick start and mark covishield vaccination drives was held at DMS's office. The function was presided over by of Dr. C. Hnichho, CMO, and Shri.Kesavan R, IAS, Deputy Commissioner enthusiastically attended the function as Chief Guest.

Speaking on this occasion,Shri.Kesavan

lamented that Covid-19 pendemic has a harsh impact on siaha district like it does to other parts of the world, but by the merficul hands of God and the unflinching supports and cooperation rendered to Siaha Medical teams by NGOs, VCs,Churches, gov't's officials and most of all VLTFs and general public, no citizens of our district succumbed to the dreadful Covid-19 pendamic so far, and our district is one of the district with the least Covid-19 +ve patients. Siaha district remained Covid-19 +ve patients free for quite sometimes after those +ve patients get healed and discharged from DCHC. But infortunately we have 1 +ve patient yesterday, but let this be a reminder to one and all that, we must always be in strick vigil and cannot afford to let loose and slackdown our preventive measures and guards against this Covid-19 onslaught.

In Siaha district, the first beneficiaries to avail Covishield vaccine will be all the 719 Healthcare Workers of Siaha district, and they all were already registered in Co-WIN Apps,which is mandatory for anyone who wanted to avail Covishield Vaccine.

Dr.S.Vabeilysa,SMO District Hospital, Siaha is the first beneficiary to avail Covid-19 vaccine (Covishield), followed suit by Dr. S.Beihrokhu, MD, and plan is underway to carry out vaccination thrice a week for beneficiaries

Dr.Lalnunziri, DIO expounded at length about Covid-19 Vaccine(Covishield) and its harmlessness on recipients.
