A review meeting on Centrally Sponsored Schemes such as BADP, BRGF, NREGS, SGSY, IWMP. etc was held at the office chamber of Pu Kunal IAS, Deputy Commisioner, Saiha District, Saiha at 11am here today.

Speaking at the meeting, Pu Kunal highlighted the importance of constituting elaborate Convergence plan on CSS and strict adherence and compliance of well laid out Guide Line of CSS, for its successful implementations by various Departments.

This meeting was also attended and briefed by three scientists Pu Lalnunsiama Colney, Pu K.Lalrammuana and Pu Robert L.Sailo from Mizoram Remote Sensing Application Centre (MIRSAC) regarding various Remote Sensing mapping done on Zawngling Village Area, which is selected for pilot project under Geographic Information Symtem planning. This GIS application is for Micro Level Planning for the successful implementation of NLUP with the help of various data collected by MIRSAC.

Requesting the visiting Scientists, Pu Kunal, IAS said, apart from their present works which is mainly concerned with NLUP based activities, if they could effectively and innovatively be used GIS for mapping villages based on crime rate, mortality rate, education etc. It will be very useful for various Departments in future, added Pu Kunal.
