Aizawl, 21 August 2026: The Second Meeting of the Inland Container Depot and Land Customs Station (ICD/LCS) Feedback Sharing Committee, organized under the aegis of the Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Customs, Kolkata Customs Zone, was held today at the State Guest House, Aizawl, Mizoram, to monitor the implementation of Union Budget 2026–27 procedural reforms.

The session focused on regional trade facilitation across the North East, addressing Inland Container Depot and Land Customs Station operations, trade clearance timelines, digital connectivity, and border infrastructure bottlenecks.

Following the review, senior officials led an interactive session with trade stakeholders and officers from the Customs Preventive Commissionerate, Shillong, to discuss practical constraints and receive proposals for streamlined documentation and improved border systems.

The meeting was attended by Shri Shrawan Kumar, Principal Chief Commissioner and Chairperson; Shri Vinayak Azaad, Principal Commissioner (Preventive, West Bengal); Shri Gautam Kumar, Additional Commissioner; and Shri Parampreet Rai, Joint Commissioner.
