Siaha DC Shri Bhupesh Chaudhury, IAS this morning flagged off vehicles carrying text books to be distributed free of cost to more than 16,000 Primary and  Middle School students of  Siaha district.

 A brief flagging -off programme was held at the front yard of Government High School. Shri Lalngaizuala,DEO& DPC of Samagra Shiksha presided over the programme.

Speaking at the flagging-off Programme, Shri Bhupesh Chaudhary thanked DEO/DPC and his staff and the   Education Department for making it possible for the free distribution of text books to all the students of Primary & Middle Schools of Siaha district. He called upon teachers and students not to get disheartened by closure of schools due to Covid-19 lockdown and hoped that a sense of normalcy would prevail soon. He also sincerely hope that the distribution of text books free of cost  would help improve the pass percentage of students in the coming year

Shri.Lalngaizuala,DEO and DCP informed the gathering that the  Siaha district is divided into 11 clusters and  coordinators of Block resources Centre and Cluster Resource centre   were entrusted with the respinsibility of distributional works in their respective wards.
