Repatriated families to Mizoram from the temporary transit camps in Tripura were granted Certificates of Fixed Deposit with an amount bearing 4 lakhs as decided in the agreement by Home ministry Government of India, Mizoram government and MBDPF. DC Mamit in the presence of SP Mamit handed over the FD certificates to the families.

The fixed deposit will remain in the name of the head of family for two years which will be delivered to them after their continuous stay for three years without fail in Mizoram. Out of the 199 families repatriated last year,16 families from Bawrai and Rengdil village each , 8 families from Zamuang and 3 families from Sihthiang village were handed over with the FD certificates. The remaining families would be fecilitated with the same shortly as mentioned by Dr. Lalrozama IAS, DC Mamit.
