District Election Officer of Champhai District Pu Mark Lalthanliana, MCS yesterday published  the Final Photo Electoral Roll-2020 for undivided Champhai district comprising 5  Assembly  Constituencies  at DC’s Conference Hall, Champhai.  DEO handed over one copy each to representatives of the political parties in soft and hard copy.

District Election Officer appreciated the sincere efforts of all partakers and gave credit to Election Officer and Staffs, ERO, AERO and BLO for timely publication of Electoral Roll. He thanked all the NGO’s and Political parties for their unending co-operation and witnessing the final publication programme. 

According to the Final Roll 2020 within undivided Champhai District, there are  87629 voters including 43317 male and 44312 female voters with the sex ratio touching 1023.  An increase of 1046 voters from the draft roll at a rate of 2.7%, 22-Tuichang A/C records the highest increase at 3.1%, far behind is 25-East Tuipui A/C at 1.6 %, mostly due to migration to other Assembly Constituency as per the study. The average voters  per Polling Station is 640 Voters  for 137 Polling Station across the district. Out of 5 A/C’s, 23-Champhai North A/C gets the highest Voters at  19095 and  25-E.Tuipui A/C having  15132 voters is the least.   Out of 137 Polling Station, 22/3-Khawzawl-I (22-Tuichang A/C) recorded the highest voters  at  1233 and the least is 21/24- Taitawkawn (21-Lengteng Assembly Constituency) having  56 voters. Age Cohort Voters report  reveals that first time voters of 18-19 years of age are 6451, between 20-29 years of age contributed the maximum voters at 23159. Above 80 years of age  voters recorded is 1115 voters which also featured 3 Centenary voters.
