Dated Serchhip, the 3rd November, 2023: Serchhip District Election Officer (DEO) has recently become aware of the dissemination of false information regarding the postal ballot vote counts for candidates through two WhatsApp groups, namely the Mizoram Draught Association and THUPUI SAWI HONA. The DEO has unequivocally confirmed the inaccuracy of the information being circulated and strongly urges individuals to cease sharing this misinformation. A stern warning has been issued, emphasizing the prohibition of spreading fake news on social media platforms, and the DEO has additionally mentioned that appropriate actions are being initiated against the responsible party.
