Deputy Chief Minister Shri Tawnluia participated in a virtual conference on Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) to review the implementation of JJM and 100 Days Campaign. Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat chaired the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Tawnluia pointed out that Mizoram is planning to complete 100% Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTC) by 2023 and Source Augmentation will take more time. He said that as on today, Government of Mizoram has achieved 42.3% of the proposed targets of 2020-21 i.e. 13,534 FHTC out of 31,963 FHTC. Deputy Chief Minister said that regarding the 100 Days Campaign, Mizoram is fully committed to provide FHTC to all Rural Schools and Anganwadis. He also highlighted that the state government is gearing up to fully utilize the 15th Finance Commission and MNREGA Funds for conservation and recharge of water sources to converge with JJM.
