Lawngtlai, the 3rd November, 2020: District Level Task Force on COVID-19 (DLTF), Lawngtlai District held a meeting today at the DC's Conference Hall, Lawngtlai reviewing activities pertaining to prevention and containment of the spread of COVID-19 within the District during October, 2020.

The meeting was chaired by the DLTF Chairman & Deputy Commissioner Dr Andrew H. Vanlaldika. He reiterated the importance of working hand in hand with government, VLTFs and NGOs as cases had been detected from the community recently. He urged the public to follow all instructions and guidelines issued by the government for the sake of safety of the people.

Reports were given by Incident Commander/SDO(Sadar) Pu V. Lalruatliana, Chief Medical Officer Dr LC Liana, District Medical Superintendent Dr Zothanpari Chhakchhuak and Quarantine Centre Nodal Officer Pu R. Lalbiakthanga. Feedbacks and further suggestions on Unlock 4.0 enforced during October, 2020 and 'No Tolerance Fortnight' being observed with effect from 26.10.2020 were discussed.

It was reported in the meeting that the 'No Tolerance Fortnight' received a great support of and a positive response from the public and that churches and other organisations were also co-operative and law abiding.

The DLTF appealed to the public to write their names, addresses and phone numbers correctly in every store/shop, office and public gathering for such details are crucial in contact tracing. Smartphone users were also requested to install and use Sulhnu app for the purpose of registering their movement history.
