The Mizoram Police today held Commemoration Parade at the State Capital, District & Battalion Headquarters to pay tribute to their martyrs, who have sacrificed their lives for service to the society and security of the nation. The main parade and wreath-laying ceremony were observed at Martyrs' Memorial, 1st Battalion MAP Headquarters, Aizawl, where DGP Mr.SBK Singh and other Police officers paid respect and homage to the martyrs. The names of 265 police personnel martyred throughout the country on call of duty during the past one year (from 1.9.2019 to 31.8.2020) were read out, to pay homage and acknowledge the supreme sacrifices made by them.

The main Police Commemoration Day Parade at the National level at the National Police Memorial, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi on 21st October, 2020 was observed at 0800hrs and attended by Hon'ble Union Home Minister. Joint Police Parade was organized by BSF in which H/C C.Lalsangmawia of Aizawl DEF and C/359 Malsawmkima of Aizawl DEF represented Mizoram Police as Flag Bearers.
