District Disaster Management Authority held Training for Village Disaster Management Committee and Quick Response Team, at the office of New Colony MTP Branch.
A brief Training inaugural function was presided by Pu Joel Laichi Hlychho, President, MTP, New Colony Branch and Pu N. Lalzarzova MCS, SDC & Nodal Officer (DM&R) formally inaugurated 2- days Training on Disaster management, and speaking on this occassion, Pu Zara highlighted the purposes of conducting the training and said that this training would equipped members of VDMC & QRT with proper skills to perform rescue operation and mitigate the impact of disasters as well.
Resource Person Pu VL Zuithanga, District Organiser, DM&R, gave lectures on the Roles of VDMC and QRT in time of disasters, be it man-made or Natural one.
Another Resource Person Pi Lucy Lalnunfeli, Lecturer, GHSS,Siaha explained at length Landslide and Fire Prevention topic. And Lecture session was follow suited by Dicussion session wherein all the questions raised by trainees were satisfactorily answered and their doubts get cleared too.
