A meeting on the implementation of Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Programme 2020 was conducted by the District Task Force On Immunization Committee, Kolasib District today at Deputy Commissioner’s Office Chamber, Kolasib district.

Mrs Sangchhin Chinzah, Chairman, DC Kolasib emphasized on the importance of imparting awareness on immunization among the target population so as to carry out the programme successfully.

A report on the performance on Intensified Mission Indradhanush 2.0 and Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Programme was presented by Dr RK Lalthlamuana, District Immunization Officer which was followed by discussion on plan and preparation for the implementation of IPPI on 21st January, 2020.

According to the report presented today, a total of 9491 children below 5 years of age were covered under IPPI during 2019 with 87.32% Infant and 100% Pregnant women and 87.87 Infant and 200% Pregnant women covered under Intensified Mission Indradhanush 2.0 round 1 and 2 respectively.
